The aim of the present study was to compare stress in parents of children with ND. The sample consisted of 160 parents of children with ND (60 parents of children with ASD, 60 parents of children with ID, and 60 parents of children with SLD) that were selected by convenience sampling. The Parental Stress Scale (Barry & Jones, 1995) was used for measuring the stress. The Two-way ANOVA test was used for the data analysis. The results showed that stress of parents of children with ASD were significantly higher than to the other two groups of parents. Therefore, designing and implementing preventive and interventional programs to decrease the stress of parents of children with with ASD is necessary.
